Indications
Emicrox (Cyclosporine) is indicated for the prevention of rejection in solid organ transplants, such as kidney, liver, and heart. It is also used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Cyclosporine works by inhibiting the activation and proliferation of T-cells, which reduces the body's immune response. It is important that this medication be administered under medical supervision, with doses adjusted according to the patient's response and potential interactions with other medications.
Composition
Each Emicrox capsule contains 100 mg of cyclosporine. Excipients: gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Emicrox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cyclosporine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with active infections, severe kidney disease, or who are receiving treatments that may induce kidney toxicity. Likewise, its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Regular monitoring of kidney function and blood cyclosporine levels is recommended to avoid toxicity. Caution should be exercised in patients with hypertension, diabetes, and those who may be at risk of infections. Concomitant administration with other immunosuppressants or medications that affect cyclosporine metabolism should be done with caution.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
