Indications
Elica Ointment 0.1% is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions requiring the use of topical corticosteroids. It is effective in the management of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. Mometasone, its active ingredient, works by reducing inflammation, redness, and itching. Its application to affected areas is recommended, following the physician's instructions, to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.
Composition
Each 100 grams of Elica Ointment 0.1% contains 0.1 grams of Mometasone. Excipients: liquid paraffin, microcrystalline wax, petrolatum, among others.
Contraindications
Elica Ointment 0.1% is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mometasone or any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in untreated viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections, nor in skin lesions caused by tuberculosis or syphilis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Elica Ointment 0.1% on large areas of skin or under occlusive dressings, as this may increase drug absorption and the risk of systemic adverse effects. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a physician consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
