Indications

Pediatric Electrolit is indicated for the prevention and treatment of mild to moderate dehydration, especially in children. It is used in cases of diarrhea, vomiting, or fever, where replacement of fluids and electrolytes is required. This product may also be useful in situations of intense exercise or extreme heat, where electrolyte loss can affect hydration status. The solution is formulated to be well-tolerated in the pediatric population, facilitating effective rehydration.

Composition

Each 100 ml of solution contains:

• Sodium: 90 mg
• Potassium: 78 mg
• Chloride: 80 mg
• Glucose: 2.5 g

Contraindications

Pediatric Electrolit is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the formulation's components. It is also contraindicated in cases of severe renal failure, where electrolyte elimination is compromised, as well as in situations of hypernatremia or hyperkalemia. Its use is not recommended in patients with conditions that prevent adequate intestinal absorption.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as the sodium content may affect blood pressure. Medical supervision is recommended in cases of severe dehydration and in patients with conditions affecting electrolyte balance. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and not to use it as the sole treatment in serious medical conditions.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Once opened, consume within 24 hours. Keep out of reach of children.
