Indications

Electrolit is a solution used for rehydration and electrolyte recovery in situations that can cause dehydration, such as diarrhea, vomiting, or excessive sweating. This oral solution is especially useful for replenishing lost fluids and electrolytes, thus promoting proper fluid balance in the body. Its use is recommended for adults and children who show signs of mild to moderate dehydration. It can be administered as a supplement to the usual diet, especially during illness or when a greater fluid intake is required.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Electrolit contains: - Sodium chloride: 0.9 g - Potassium chloride: 0.4 g - Sodium bicarbonate: 0.5 g - Glucose: 2.7 g - Purified water: q.s. 100 ml.

Contraindications

Electrolit is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. In addition, its use is not recommended in cases of severe renal failure, as it can worsen the patient's condition. It should also be avoided in situations where strict electrolyte control is required, such as in cases of uncompensated metabolic acidosis or alkalosis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with heart disease, hypertension, or who are undergoing treatment with diuretics, as excessive use may result in electrolyte imbalances. It is important to consult a doctor before using this product in children under three years of age or in patients with pre-existing medical conditions that may be affected by electrolyte administration.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
