Indications

Electrolit is an oral rehydration solution indicated for the prevention and treatment of dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting, prolonged physical exercise, or any condition that requires fluid and electrolyte replacement. It is particularly useful in situations of fluid loss due to gastrointestinal diseases or in extreme climatic conditions. Its use is indicated for patients of all ages, from neonates to elderly adults, in whom rapid and effective rehydration is crucial. Additionally, it can be used as a supplement in hydration programs for athletes and active individuals who require rapid electrolyte replenishment.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Electrolit contains:

  • Sodium: 50 mg
  • Potassium: 20 mg
  • Chloride: 40 mg
  • Bicarbonate: 5 mg
  • Purified water q.s.: 100 ml

Contraindications

Electrolit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal obstruction or conditions that prevent proper electrolyte absorption. Likewise, it should be used with caution in patients with kidney or heart disease, where electrolyte administration may worsen the patient's condition.

Precautions

Special care should be taken when administering Electrolit to patients with heart or kidney disease or those undergoing diuretic treatment. It is advisable to monitor electrolyte levels in high-risk patients and consider treatment adjustments as needed. Furthermore, Electrolit should not be administered to diabetic patients without adequate medical supervision, as it may contain sugars that could affect glycemic control.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Once opened, consume within a reasonable time and follow storage recommendations. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
