Indications

Electrolit is an electrolyte solution indicated for oral rehydration in cases of mild to moderate dehydration. It is especially useful in situations of fluid and electrolyte loss, such as gastroenteritis, vomiting, diarrhea, or intense physical activities. Its use is recommended to maintain electrolyte balance in situations of extreme heat or during sports, where a significant amount of fluid can be lost through sweat.

This product can also be used in situations where rapid electrolyte replacement is required, such as in cases of high fever, or in people who cannot adequately ingest fluids. The use of Electrolit helps prevent dehydration and promote an adequate state of hydration in the population, thus contributing to the patient's general health.

Composition

Each 100 mL of Electrolit contains:

• Sodium chloride: 0.5 g
• Potassium chloride: 0.2 g
• Calcium chloride: 0.1 g
• Glucose: 1.5 g

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe dehydration where intravenous administration of fluids and electrolytes is necessary.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with renal insufficiency, heart disease, or hypertension, as excessive use of electrolytes can worsen these conditions. It is advisable to consult a doctor before starting its use, especially in vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, or patients with chronic diseases.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from direct light. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children.
