Indications

Elantan is indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris and for the prevention of anginal episodes. It is useful in reducing the frequency, duration, and intensity of angina attacks in patients with coronary artery disease. Additionally, it can be used in cases of heart failure and as part of a therapeutic approach to improve the quality of life of patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Composition

Each Elantan tablet contains 20 mg of isosorbide mononitrate as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Elantan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isosorbide mononitrate or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe anemia, low blood pressure or shock, or to those receiving phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, due to the risk of interaction and serious adverse effects.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with a history of recent myocardial infarction, hypotension, hypovolemia, or those suffering from narrow-angle glaucoma. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
