Indications

Efudix cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial skin lesions, including actinic keratosis and superficial basal cell carcinomas. Fluorouracil, its active ingredient, acts as an antineoplastic agent that interferes with DNA and RNA synthesis, leading to cell death in neoplastic cells. Its use is especially effective for lesions that have been previously diagnosed by a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each 1 g of Efudix cream contains 50 mg of fluorouracil as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for proper formulation and application of the product.

Contraindications

Efudix cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluorouracil or any component of the formula. It should not be used on lesions showing signs of infection or on areas of skin with active inflammatory dermatitis. Furthermore, its use during pregnancy and lactation must be evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Efudix in patients with conditions that may compromise liver or kidney function. It is advisable to avoid direct sun exposure on treated areas and to apply sunscreen to minimize irritation. Also, contact with mucous membranes and sensitive skin areas should be avoided.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Shipping

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
