Indications
Effezel Gel is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris in patients over 12 years of age. This medication combines two active ingredients: adapalene, a retinoid that helps normalize skin cell turnover and reduces the formation of comedones, and benzoyl peroxide, which has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Together, these components help decrease the number of acne lesions and prevent the appearance of new lesions. It is important to apply the gel once a day on clean, dry skin, generally at night, avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Composition
Each 100 g of Effezel Gel contains 0.3 g of adapalene and 2.5 g of benzoyl peroxide. It also contains excipients such as propylene glycol, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, and purified water.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used on irritated or damaged skin areas. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and the use of irritating products in combination with Effezel Gel. Likewise, the patient should be informed that they may experience irritation, redness, or peeling in the application area, especially at the beginning of treatment. If severe reactions occur, the product should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
