Indications

Efexor XR is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, as well as for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. This medication acts on neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve mood and reduce anxiety. It is important that the use of this medication be indicated and supervised by a doctor, who will evaluate the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each Efexor XR capsule contains 75 mg of venlafaxine, as well as excipients that allow for the extended release of the active ingredient.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to venlafaxine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used by patients receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or by those with a history of serotonin syndrome.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, cardiac disorders, seizures, or liver problems. It is advisable to monitor blood pressure during treatment. Additionally, care should be taken when discontinuing treatment, as it may cause discontinuation symptoms. Use in special populations, such as the elderly or pregnant women, should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Storage
