Indications
Efexor XR is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults, as well as for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorders. It is also used for the treatment of panic disorders, with or without agoraphobia. Venlafaxine, the active ingredient, acts on serotonin and norepinephrine, neurotransmitters involved in mood regulation. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional, and that specific dosage instructions be followed.
Composition
Each Efexor XR capsule contains 150 mg of venlafaxine, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to venlafaxine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), as this may lead to serious adverse reactions. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of bipolar disorders and in those with severe liver or kidney disease.
Precautions
It is essential to inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, as well as about other medications you are taking, as interactions may occur. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of hypertension, as venlafaxine may raise blood pressure. Blood pressure monitoring is recommended during treatment.

Store the medication in its original packaging, at room temperature, away from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
