Indications

Edarbi Cld is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of azilsartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and chlorthalidone, a diuretic, acts synergistically to lower blood pressure. The use of Edarbi Cld may be considered in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy. Additionally, this medication may be useful in preventing cardiovascular events in high-risk patients.

Composition

Each Edarbi Cld tablet contains: 80 mg of azilsartan medoxomil and 12.5 mg of chlorthalidone.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with anuria or severe renal insufficiency, as well as in patients receiving aliskiren-containing medications who are diabetic or have renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to other antihypertensives, as well as in those with conditions that may predispose to dehydration or electrolyte disturbances. It is important to regularly monitor blood pressure and renal function during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
