Indications

Edarbi Cld is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. It works by combining azilsartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and chlorthalidone, a diuretic, which allows for effective blood pressure control. Its use may be considered in patients who have not achieved their blood pressure target with a single antihypertensive agent. Regular blood pressure monitoring and dosage adjustment according to patient response are important.

Composition

Each Edarbi Cld tablet contains:

  • Azilsartan Medoxomil: 80 mg
  • Chlorthalidone: 12.5 mg

Contraindications

Edarbi Cld is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used in patients with anuria or those with severe renal impairment. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, as well as in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of kidney disease, heart disease, or diabetes mellitus. It is important to evaluate electrolyte levels and renal function before and during treatment with Edarbi Cld. Additionally, care should be taken in patients who are receiving other medications that may affect blood pressure or renal function.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
