Indications

Edarbi Cld is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of Azilsartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and Chlorthalidone, a diuretic, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure. This medication is suitable for patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy. The administration of Edarbi Cld can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular events related to hypertension.

Composition

Each tablet contains: 40 mg of Azilsartan Medoxomil and 12.5 mg of Chlorthalidone.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with renin-angiotensin system inhibitors, as well as in patients with severe renal failure or who are on dialysis. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, unless indicated by the doctor.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of volume depletion, renal insufficiency, and in those who are receiving other antihypertensive drugs. Blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored during treatment. In addition, it is important to inform the doctor about any other medications being used to avoid interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
