Indications
Edarbi is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of strokes and heart disease. This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which causes blood vessels to dilate and, consequently, lowers blood pressure. Its use is recommended for patients who have not achieved optimal blood pressure levels with other antihypertensives or as a combination therapy with other antihypertensive medications.
Composition
Each Edarbi tablet contains 80 mg of Azilsartan Medoxomil as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Edarbi is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azilsartan Medoxomil or any component of the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, renal artery stenosis, and in those who are being treated with diuretics. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function is recommended during treatment. Concomitant use with other antihypertensives is not recommended without appropriate medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
