Indications

Dutina is indicated for the treatment of both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in pediatric patients. This medication acts as a nasal corticosteroid, providing relief from symptoms such as congestion, sneezing, itching, and nasal discharge. Mometasone, its active ingredient, helps reduce inflammation in the nasal airways, improving the quality of life for patients with allergic conditions. Its use is recommended for children over 2 years of age, with adequate medical supervision.

Composition

Each gram of nasal spray contains 0.5 mg of mometasone furoate as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and stability.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mometasone or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is also not recommended in untreated infections of the nasal airways, such as fungal or viral infections, and in patients who have had severe adverse reactions to other intranasal corticosteroids.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with active or latent pulmonary tuberculosis, as well as in those with ocular herpes simplex. It is essential to monitor patients who use the medication for prolonged periods to avoid systemic adverse effects associated with corticosteroid use. Adrenal function should be evaluated in patients who have been on prolonged treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
