Indications

Duphaston is indicated in the treatment of menstrual disorders related to progesterone deficiency, such as secondary amenorrhea and irregular menstrual cycles. It is also used in the treatment of endometriosis and as part of hormone therapy in women undergoing a fertility program. This medication helps regulate the menstrual cycle and maintain an adequate environment for embryo implantation. Duphaston can be used in combination with estrogens for hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women, helping to prevent endometrial hyperplasia.

Composition

Each Duphaston tablet contains 10 mg of dydrogesterone as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose, corn starch, and talc, among others.

Contraindications

Duphaston is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dydrogesterone or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in cases of undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver diseases, or known or suspected breast cancer. It is also contraindicated in active thromboembolic conditions.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of thromboembolism, heart disease, or diabetes. During treatment, blood pressure monitoring and regular clinical examinations are recommended. In case of any adverse effects, a doctor should be consulted immediately. Its use during pregnancy is not recommended, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
