Indications
Dunox Solution (Iron) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia in adults and children. This medication is useful in situations where there is an increased need for iron, such as during pregnancy, lactation, or in cases of inadequate diets. In addition, it is recommended for patients with conditions that cause blood loss, such as ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding. It is important that the use of Dunox be supervised by a doctor to determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment according to the specific needs of the patient.
Composition
Each 1 ml of solution contains: 50 mg of iron (as iron (II) sulfate).
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to iron or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in cases of hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or any other condition involving iron overload. Its use is not recommended in patients with non-iron deficiency anemia.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal diseases. Medical follow-up is recommended during treatment to avoid possible side effects. In addition, it is suggested to monitor blood iron levels to ensure that overload does not occur. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
