Indications
Dulpicap is indicated for the treatment of major depression in adults. It is also used in the management of generalized anxiety disorder, as well as in the treatment of diabetic neuropathic pain and chronic widespread pain associated with fibromyalgia. Duloxetine works by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, which helps to improve mood and reduce pain in patients.
Composition
Each Dulpicap capsule contains 60 mg of duloxetine, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.
Contraindications
Dulpicap should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to duloxetine or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in those with severe hepatic impairment. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures or bipolar disorder.
Precautions
The risk of suicide should be carefully assessed in patients with depression, especially at the beginning of treatment. It is important to monitor for the appearance of adverse effects, including changes in behavior and mood. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment with Dulpicap, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
