Indications

Doscoxel (Etoricoxib) is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, such as:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Acute pain
  • Reduction of postoperative pain

This medication works by selectively inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which helps reduce the production of prostaglandins, responsible for inflammation and pain. Medical supervision is recommended to evaluate the treatment's effectiveness and adjust the dosage as needed.

Composition

Each Doscoxel tablet contains 60 mg of Etoricoxib as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Doscoxel should not be used in the following cases:

  • Known hypersensitivity to Etoricoxib or any of the excipients.
  • Patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
  • Severe heart failure.
  • Severe kidney disease.
  • During pregnancy and lactation, unless medically indicated.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease. Regular monitoring is recommended in these cases. Furthermore, prolonged use of the medication without medical supervision is suggested to be avoided.

Storage

The medication should be stored at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
