Indications
Dolac (Ketorolac) is indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain. Its use is common in postoperative situations, as well as in painful conditions associated with musculoskeletal diseases. This medication works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, resulting in an effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It is important to note that its use must be evaluated by a physician, considering the nature and duration of the pain, as well as the patient's individual response to treatment.
Composition
Each ampoule contains: Ketorolac tromethamine 30 mg/ml. Excipients: Sodium chloride, water for injection, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide (pH adjusted to 6.0-7.0).
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any of its excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, as well as in those receiving other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or anticoagulants. Its use in the third trimester of pregnancy and during lactation should be evaluated with caution.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, asthma, moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in the elderly, who may be more susceptible to adverse effects. Regular assessments of renal function and monitoring for possible gastrointestinal effects during treatment are recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
