Indications
Dolac is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, including postoperative pain, pain associated with dental procedures, and pain from musculoskeletal injuries. It can also be used in the management of acute and chronic pain, as well as for the treatment of fever when necessary. Its analgesic action is due to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, which reduces inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Dolac capsule contains 10 mg of Ketorolac tromethamine as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Dolac is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, or in those receiving other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or anticoagulants. Its use is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, unless otherwise indicated by a physician.
Precautions
Dolac is recommended to be used with caution in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or kidney disease. Renal function should be evaluated before starting treatment and during its use, especially in elderly patients or those with conditions that may affect renal function. Prolonged use of Dolac may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
