Indications
Diprospan is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions requiring an anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive effect. It is commonly used in the management of autoimmune diseases, allergic disorders, dermatological diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, respiratory diseases, and rheumatic conditions. Specific indications include, but are not limited to:
- Rheumatoid arthritis and other forms of arthritis.
- Bronchial asthma and other obstructive respiratory diseases.
- Dermatitis and other inflammatory dermatological diseases.
- Inflammatory bowel diseases.
- Hematological conditions and some types of cancer.
Composition
Each Diprospan syringe contains:
- Betamethasone (as betamethasone dipropionate and betamethasone sodium phosphate) 5 mg and 2 mg respectively.
Contraindications
The use of Diprospan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in uncontrolled systemic infections and in patients with systemic fungal diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Diprospan to patients with a history of peptic ulcers, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, renal or cardiac insufficiency. It is important to monitor patients during treatment for possible adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
