Indications
Diprosone G is used in the treatment of various dermatological conditions that require an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial approach. It is indicated for the management of inflammatory dermatoses with secondary infection, such as atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and other skin conditions that respond to corticosteroid therapy and may be complicated by bacterial infections. The combination of betamethasone, a potent corticosteroid, and gentamicin, an antibiotic, allows for addressing both inflammation and infection, facilitating faster and more effective recovery of skin lesions.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains:
- Betamethasone (as dipropionate) - 0.05 g
- Gentamicin - 1 g
Excipients: Purified water, liquid paraffin, lanolin, among others.
Contraindications
Diprosone G is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the product's components, as well as in viral, fungal, or tuberculous skin infections. Its use is not recommended for skin lesions with signs of untreated infection.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication on large areas of skin or for prolonged periods, as excessive use may lead to systemic effects of corticosteroids. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or sensitization, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
