Indications
Diprosone cream is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions that respond to corticosteroid therapy, including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Its anti-inflammatory and antipruritic action helps reduce the redness, itching, and swelling associated with these conditions.
It is important that the application is performed on the affected skin, once or twice a day, as indicated by the doctor, and it should not be used on large areas of the body or for prolonged periods without medical supervision.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Betamethasone (as dipropionate) 0.05 g. Excipients: purified water, cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, among others.
Contraindications
Diprosone cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to betamethasone or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in untreated viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections, as well as in skin tuberculosis or skin lesions due to syphilis.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of adverse reactions to corticosteroids. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Its use in children under 2 years of age without medical supervision is not recommended. Prolonged application may lead to systemic adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Protect from light and moisture.
