Indications
Diprosone cream is indicated for the treatment of various dermatological conditions that require the use of topical corticosteroids. It is effective in the management of inflammatory skin diseases such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and allergic skin reactions. It is also used in the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic lesions that do not respond to less potent therapies. The anti-inflammatory and antipruritic action of betamethasone helps reduce inflammation and redness, thereby improving the patient's well-being. It is recommended to apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area, avoiding contact with mucous membranes or open wounds.
Composition
Each 100 g of Diprosone cream contains 0.05 g of betamethasone (as betamethasone dipropionate) and excipients q.s.p. 100 g.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to betamethasone or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be used in untreated skin infections, cutaneous tuberculosis, viral infections, or in the treatment of rosacea or perioral dermatitis. Do not apply to skin areas with open or infected lesions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Diprosone on extensive skin areas or for prolonged treatments, as this may lead to systemic effects. In cases of use in children, the possibility of systemic absorption and adverse effects should be considered. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended without medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
