Indications

Diovan is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults, as well as for the reduction of the risk of stroke and heart attack in patients with hypertension and left ventricular dysfunction. It is also used in the treatment of chronic heart failure in combination with other appropriate medications.

Composition

Each Diovan tablet contains 80 mg of Valsartan as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium, among others.

Contraindications

Diovan is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Valsartan or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatments. Additionally, it is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with renal artery stenosis, hepatic insufficiency, severe renal insufficiency, or those undergoing diuretic treatment. Blood pressure should also be monitored in patients starting Diovan treatment.

Storage

Store in its original packaging at room temperature, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
