Indications
Dimefor XR 500 mg is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in overweight patients and in those whose condition cannot be adequately controlled by diet and exercise. This medication works by reducing blood glucose levels and improving insulin sensitivity. It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, depending on the patient's needs. It is important that its use is part of a comprehensive plan that includes diet, exercise, and regular glucose monitoring.
Composition
Each Dimefor XR tablet contains 500 mg of metformin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and presentation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metformin or any of the product's excipients, as well as in those with severe renal insufficiency, dehydration, metabolic acidosis, or conditions that may predispose to lactic acidosis. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Dimefor XR in patients with moderate renal insufficiency, liver disease, or in those scheduled for surgical procedures requiring general or regional anesthesia. Frequent monitoring of blood glucose levels and renal function during treatment is recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
