Indications
Dimefor-G 500 mg/5 mg is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in patients who have not achieved adequate blood glucose control with diet and physical exercise alone. This medication is used in combination with other oral antidiabetics or as monotherapy to improve glycemic control. Metformin works by reducing hepatic glucose production and improving insulin sensitivity, while glibenclamide stimulates insulin secretion by the pancreas. It is essential that its use be supplemented with an adequate diet and regular physical activity.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Metformin 500 mg and Glibenclamide 5 mg.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components, in those with severe renal insufficiency, diabetic ketoacidosis, and in cases of acute or chronic illness that may compromise renal function.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, mild to moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency. Likewise, it is recommended to periodically monitor renal function and blood glucose levels, and to avoid concomitant use with other medications that may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
