Indications
Dimacol Ped is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with colds and allergies in pediatric patients. Its formulation, combining guaifenesin, phenylephrine, and dextromethorphan, helps relieve nasal congestion, reduce cough, and facilitate the expulsion of mucous secretions. It is indicated in cases of:
- Common colds
- Upper respiratory infections
- Allergic rhinitis
- Sinusitis
Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, helping to loosen and expel mucus. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that reduces swelling in the nasal passages, and dextromethorphan is an antitussive that helps control cough.
Composition
Each 100 mL of Dimacol Ped contains:
- Guaifenesin: 2 g
- Phenylephrine: 100 mg
- Dextromethorphan: 200 mg
Contraindications
Dimacol Ped is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy, asthma, or chronic respiratory diseases. Its use in children under 2 years of age should be supervised by a physician. Its use in combination with other antitussives or decongestants is not recommended without proper supervision.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
