Indications
Dimacol Ad Solution is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with colds, flu, and respiratory disorders, such as nasal congestion and cough. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, facilitating the expulsion of bronchial secretions. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that helps reduce inflammation and nasal congestion, thus relieving breathing difficulties. Dextromethorphan acts as a cough suppressant, helping to control dry, non-productive cough. This medication is useful in managing symptoms in patients with acute and chronic respiratory infections.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Dimacol Ad Solution contains: Guaifenesin 200 mg, Phenylephrine 100 mg, Dextromethorphan 2 g.
Contraindications
Dimacol Ad is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, or in patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma. Likewise, its use in combination with other medications containing dextromethorphan or phenylephrine should be avoided. It is important to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in elderly patients or those with multiple pathologies.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
