Indications
Dilacoran Retard is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and angina pectoris. It is also used in the management of certain types of cardiac arrhythmias. Verapamil acts as a calcium channel blocker, which helps to decrease heart rate and improve blood flow to the heart. Its use is indicated in patients who require efficient blood pressure control and in those with cardiac conditions that demand regulation of heart rhythm and contractility.
Composition
Each Dilacoran Retard tablet contains 120 mg of verapamil, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to verapamil or any component of the formula. It should not be used in cases of severe heart failure, second- or third-degree heart block, or sick sinus syndrome. It is also contraindicated in patients with extremely low blood pressure and in those receiving treatment with beta-blockers.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of heart disease. Constant monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended during treatment. The use in combination with other medications that may affect heart function or blood pressure should be carefully evaluated.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, away from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
