Indications
Desenfriol D is a medication indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with the common cold and flu. It is used for the treatment of nasal congestion, sneezing, rhinorrhea, and general discomfort. The combination of its active ingredients, chlorphenamine, phenylephrine, and paracetamol, provides an antihistamine, decongestant, and analgesic effect, helping to reduce inflammation symptoms and providing relief from mild to moderate pain. It is indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age, always under the supervision of a doctor.
Composition
Each Desenfriol D tablet contains:
- Chlorphenamine 2 mg
- Phenylephrine 5 mg
- Paracetamol 500 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, severe hypertension, severe heart disease, or during the use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases. Do not administer to pregnant or breastfeeding women without prior consultation with a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid problems, or those taking other medications. It is important to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment with this medication, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. It is recommended to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than three days or if adverse reactions occur.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
