Indications
Denvar (Cefixime) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in various parts of the body. It is effective in the management of respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by susceptible organisms. It is also used in the treatment of middle ear infections (otitis media) and urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis. Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death of sensitive microorganisms. It is important to perform a culture and sensitivity test to ensure treatment efficacy.
Composition
Each Denvar capsule contains 400 mg of cefixime as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.
Contraindications
Denvar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefixime, other cephalosporin antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis.
Precautions
Renal function should be evaluated before initiating treatment with Denvar, as the dose may require adjustment in patients with renal impairment. Additionally, care should be taken when using it in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other antibiotics. It is important to monitor patients during treatment in case they develop signs of secondary infection or superinfection.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
