Indications

Demus is indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiencies, especially in cases of malabsorption, bone disorders such as rickets and osteomalacia, as well as in the management of osteoporosis in patients requiring additional vitamin D supplementation. This medication may be useful in elderly individuals and those with limited sun exposure, as vitamin D is essential for bone health and calcium metabolism.

Composition

Each Demus capsule contains 100,000 international units of cholecalciferol.

Contraindications

Demus is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cholecalciferol or any of the excipients in the formula. Furthermore, it is not recommended in cases of hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and in patients with severe kidney disease or sarcoidosis, due to the risk of complications associated with elevated calcium levels.

Precautions

It is important to monitor calcium and phosphorus levels in patients receiving Demus treatment, especially in those with kidney disease or metabolic disorders. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those taking other vitamin D supplements or medications that may affect calcium metabolism.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Shipping

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
