Indications
Dardaren is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, both as monotherapy and in combination with other anti-Parkinsonian medications. It is used to improve patients' motor symptoms, contributing to an improved quality of life. This medication acts as a monoamine oxidase type B inhibitor (MAO-B inhibitor), which increases dopamine levels in the brain, thereby helping to control movements and reduce the stiffness and tremors associated with the disease. Its use is recommended in patients with mild to moderate symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
Composition
Each Dardaren tablet contains 1 mg of rasagiline as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Dardaren is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rasagiline or any of the excipients. It should not be administered to patients who are being treated with other monoamine oxidase inhibitors, antidepressants, or certain medications that may interact with the serotonergic system, due to the risk of serotonin syndrome.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or those taking medications that may induce interactions. Regular medical follow-up is important to assess treatment response and adjust the dose if necessary. Patients should also be warned about the possibility of experiencing adverse effects that could affect their ability to drive or operate machinery.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
