Indications

Danprinon (Atomoxetine) is indicated for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents aged 6 to 16 years. Its use is appropriate for patients who experience significant difficulties in social, academic, or occupational functioning due to symptoms associated with ADHD. Atomoxetine acts as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, helping to improve attention and reduce impulsivity and hyperactivity. Periodic evaluation of treatment response and dose adjustment as needed to achieve therapeutic goals are recommended.

Composition

Each Danprinon capsule contains 10 mg of atomoxetine. Additionally, it includes excipients such as lactose, corn starch, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Danprinon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atomoxetine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients who are receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have received these medications within the last two weeks. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disorders, hypertension, or liver problems.

Precautions

Careful monitoring is important in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, such as depression or suicidal ideation, before and during treatment with Danprinon. It is recommended to evaluate cardiovascular function and blood pressure, as well as to observe any changes in patient behavior. Atomoxetine may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so caution should be exercised when performing activities that require concentration.

Storage

Store Danprinon in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
