Indications
Dalacin Solution is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by clindamycin-susceptible microorganisms. It is used for respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone and joint infections. It is also considered effective in the treatment of gynecological infections, including endometritis and tubo-ovarian abscesses, as well as dental infections. Confirmation of pathogen susceptibility is important before initiating treatment with Dalacin.
Composition
Each 5 ml of solution contains 75 mg of clindamycin (as clindamycin hydrochloride) and excipients such as purified water and hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH.
Contraindications
Dalacin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clindamycin or any component of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis, as well as those with inflammatory bowel disease. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless clearly indicated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. Liver function should be monitored in patients receiving prolonged treatment. In case of severe or persistent diarrhea, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. The possibility of a secondary infection during therapy should be considered.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
