Indications
Dabex is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adult patients, in combination with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control. It is especially used in patients who are obese or overweight. This medication can be administered alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, as indicated by the physician. Dabex can also be used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients, as well as to improve insulin sensitivity.
Composition
Each Dabex tablet contains 1000 mg of Metformin, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Dabex is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to metformin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with severe renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, or in those who present conditions that predispose to lactic acidosis, such as severe dehydration or serious infections. Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients with acute or chronic diseases that alter renal function or interfere with the elimination of metformin.
Precautions
It is important to undergo regular medical monitoring during treatment with Dabex. Renal function tests are recommended before starting treatment and at least once a year during its use. Special attention should be paid to patients with a history of heart or respiratory diseases or who are subject to surgical procedures. Treatment should be temporarily discontinued in situations that may cause dehydration or infections.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
