Indications
Cuerpo Amarillo Fuerte is indicated in the treatment of various conditions related to progesterone deficiency. It is commonly used in hormone replacement therapy in women with menopausal symptoms, as well as in the treatment of menstrual disorders such as amenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome. Additionally, it is used in fertility protocols, specifically to support endometrial development during the luteal phase of ovulation and in in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, where the goal is to optimize endometrial receptivity for embryo implantation. It has also been used in cases of threatened miscarriage in women with a history of recurrent miscarriages.
Composition
Each ampoule of Cuerpo Amarillo Fuerte contains 50 mg of Progesterone in a volume of 2 ml.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to progesterone or any of the excipients present in the formulation. It is not recommended in patients with a history of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or thromboembolic disorders. It is also contraindicated in patients with breast cancer or uterine cancer, as well as in those with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, diabetes mellitus, or cardiovascular disorders. Regular medical follow-up is important during treatment. Women who are considering pregnancy or who are pregnant should discuss the risks and benefits of using this medication with their doctor.
