Indications
Crisvi is indicated for the treatment of primary and mixed hypercholesterolemia, as well as dyslipidemia. This medication is used as part of a comprehensive approach that includes diet, exercise, and weight control, with the aim of reducing LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol levels and increasing HDL (high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol levels. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of coronary heart disease or cardiovascular risk factors.
Composition
Each Crisvi tablet contains 10 mg of Rosuvastatin as the active ingredient. Excipients: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous citric acid, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Rosuvastatin or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of active liver disease or elevated transaminases. Its use is contraindicated in pregnant or lactating women. It is also contraindicated in patients with active myopathy or a history of rhabdomyolysis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those taking other medications that may increase the risk of myopathy. Regular monitoring of liver enzymes and lipid profile is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
