Indications
Creon 300 mg is indicated for the treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, which can occur in conditions such as cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and pancreatic transplant. The pancreatic enzymes contained in Creon help digest nutrients, improving the absorption of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. This medication is essential for patients who have difficulty digesting due to a lack of enzymes produced by the pancreas.
Composition
Each capsule of Creon 300 mg contains:
- Pancreatin (equivalent to 300 mg lipase, 12,000 lipase units, 9,000 amylase units, and 600 protease units).
Contraindications
Creon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pancreatin or any of the excipients in the formula. It should also be avoided in cases of acute pancreatitis or exacerbations of chronic pancreatitis. Its use is not recommended in patients with intestinal obstruction.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of allergies to pork-derived products, as pancreatin may be of porcine origin. It is important to monitor patients' intestinal function during treatment, as well as adjust the dose according to individual needs. It is advisable to consult a doctor before starting treatment if the patient has pre-existing medical conditions.
Storage
Store at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Keep the product in its original packaging and in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
