Indications

Cozaar Xq is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, acts synergistically to lower blood pressure. This combination can be used as initial therapy or in patients whose blood pressure control is not satisfactory with a single antihypertensive agent. Additionally, its use may be considered in patients with established coronary artery disease to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Losartan potassium 100 mg and Amlodipine 5 mg.

Contraindications

Cozaar Xq is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, renal artery stenosis, and those with a history of hypotension. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and renal function is recommended during treatment. Concomitant administration of other antihypertensives may enhance the antihypertensive effect of Cozaar Xq.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
