Indications
Coversyl (Perindopril) is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medication acts as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which results in the relaxation of blood vessels and a decrease in blood pressure. Additionally, it is used in patients with stable heart failure and in those with coronary artery disease to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
Composition
Each Coversyl 4 mg tablet contains 4 mg of Perindopril as the active substance. Excipients: lactose, starch, and other inactive components that allow for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Coversyl should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Perindopril or any other component of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous ACE inhibitor treatments, as well as in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis or renal artery stenosis in a single kidney.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when administering Coversyl in patients with renal failure, liver disease, or those undergoing diuretic treatment. It is important to monitor renal function during treatment. Additionally, care should be taken in patients with diabetes mellitus, as it may affect blood glucose levels.
Storage
Store the medication in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
