Indications

Cortizone 10 Cream 1% is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and pruritic dermatological conditions. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with dermatoses such as eczema, allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and insect bites. Hydrocortisone, as a corticosteroid, acts by reducing inflammation and the local immune response, which contributes to the reduction of redness, itching, and skin discomfort. It is indicated for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.

Composition

Hydrocortisone 1% as active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, propylene glycol, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections, and in skin lesions that present ulceration or exudation. In case of cutaneous tuberculosis or rosacea, its use should be avoided.

Precautions

It is recommended to use Cortizone 10 Cream 1% under medical supervision in cases of patients with systemic diseases or who are receiving immunosuppressive treatment. In addition, prolonged use on large areas of the skin or under occlusive dressings should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of systemic effects. If the condition does not improve within 7 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
