Indications

Corpotasin Lp is indicated for the prevention and treatment of hypokalemia, a condition characterized by low potassium levels in the blood. Its use is essential in patients requiring potassium supplementation, including those with gastrointestinal diseases that can cause excessive electrolyte loss. It is also used in the treatment of metabolic acidosis, as well as in replacement therapy in patients with renal insufficiency, always under appropriate medical supervision.

Composition

Each Corpotasin Lp tablet contains 15000 mg of potassium chloride, which provides an effective source of potassium, an essential mineral for various physiological functions, including the regulation of heart function and muscle contraction.

Contraindications

Corpotasin Lp is contraindicated in patients with hyperkalemia (high potassium levels in the blood), severe renal insufficiency, or in those receiving treatment with medications that increase potassium levels. It should not be administered if the patient has a known allergy to potassium chloride or any of the components of the formula.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency, as well as in those taking other medications that may affect potassium levels.
