Indications
Contumax is an osmotic laxative indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation. Its Macrogol-based formulation facilitates bowel evacuation by increasing the amount of water in the intestine, which helps to soften stools and improve the frequency of bowel movements. It is especially useful in patients suffering from constipation due to dietary changes, a sedentary lifestyle, or conditions affecting intestinal motility. In addition, it can be used for bowel preparation prior to diagnostic or surgical procedures. It is recommended to follow the physician's instructions for proper and effective use of the product.
Composition
Each sachet of Contumax contains 17 g of Macrogol, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and absorption. The formulation is designed to ensure adequate dissolution in water and easy ingestion.
Contraindications
Contumax is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Macrogol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, or severe inflammatory bowel diseases. Its use in patients with advanced kidney disease should be evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with heart or kidney disease, as prolonged use of laxatives can lead to electrolyte imbalances. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist. Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
