Indications
Contumax is a medication indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation and as an osmotic laxative. It is useful in bowel preparation prior to surgical or diagnostic procedures, such as colonoscopies. Macrogol works by increasing the amount of water in the intestine, facilitating intestinal transit and helping to normalize the frequency of bowel movements. This medication is suitable for use in adults and children over 8 years of age, always under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each 100 g of Contumax contains 100 g of macrogol 4000, as well as excipients necessary for the powder formulation.
Contraindications
Contumax is contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, and in those with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of inflammatory bowel diseases or severe renal function disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as excessive use of laxatives can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. It is advisable to consult a doctor if the constipation problem persists for more than a week or if unusual symptoms appear during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
