Indications
Controlip-Trilipix (fenofibrate) is indicated as an adjunctive treatment in patients with hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemias who require a reduction in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels. This medication works by reducing the production of low-density lipoproteins and increasing high-density lipoprotein levels. It is used in combination with diet and exercise to improve the lipid profile and decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease in patients with risk factors.
Composition
Each Controlip-Trilipix capsule contains 135 mg of fenofibrate as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fenofibrate or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active liver disease, severe kidney disease, or those with a malabsorption syndrome. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or lactating women, unless deemed strictly necessary by the physician.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of liver, kidney, or pancreatic disease. Regular monitoring of lipid parameters and liver function is necessary during treatment. This medication may interact with other drugs, so the physician should be informed about all medications the patient is taking.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
