Indications
Controlip Dual is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemia in patients requiring a reduction in total cholesterol and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) levels, as well as triglycerides. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia, in combination with an appropriate diet. The combination of fenofibrate and simvastatin acts synergistically to improve the patient's lipid profile, which may contribute to better cardiovascular health.
Composition
Each Controlip Dual tablet contains 145 mg of fenofibrate and 40 mg of simvastatin.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or elevated transaminase levels, as well as in patients presenting myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney damage, or in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is recommended to monitor liver function and creatine kinase levels in patients who experience symptoms of muscle weakness or pain. Likewise, it is important to inform the doctor about any other medications the patient is taking to avoid adverse interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
